T&Cs for ghost hunters / venue hire
Dependent upon any group that wishes to hire this venue, is automatic agreement of the following.
The group must have £5 million liability insurance viewed on day of event or before. We reserve the right to cancel the event on non-production of this document.
£50 deposit must be received within 7 days of booking to secure date and the balance one week before event, or if you have fluctuating numbers of people attending, any final numbers can be paid on the day of event.
Deposits are non-returnable. However, they can be transferrable if advised within 14 days of booking or at least three month's before the event. If you cancel the event and book another date, an additional deposit will be required.
No smoking is permitted within the property (alternative arrangements are provided) or alcohol or drugs or any kind.
'Base camp' wherever you like in the barn, or alternatively within the annexe building separated at the rear of the property where seating and refreshments will be provided.
Smoking will only be allowed in the designated area and there will be no naked flames allowed anywhere in the building.
There is a staff toilet along the courtyard, which will be made available.
Refreshments and equipment, such as a 'yes/no' table will also be provided.
Deposits are non-refundable and only transferrable if advised within 14 days of booking or at least three month's before the event. If you cancel the event and book another date, an additional deposit will be required if outside of these times.
Please be advised that the property is very old, dark and atmospheric. It has low beams, uneven floors, unexpected steps, and the cobbled stone courtyard outside is particularly slippery when wet.
It can become extremely cold in the barn (apart from cold spots!) and we further suggest you advise your guests/participants to dress in warm comfortable clothes and to bring a torch with them. Is it not uncommon for light and batteries to drain very quickly, so we also suggest you bring plenty of backup equipment.
We reserve the right to remove anyone under the influence of drink or drugs, without refund.
We reserve the right to remove anyone who is disrupting the event, disrupting other guests, abusing staff or interfering with any of the exhibits (without refund). Any damages must be paid for.
We cannot guarantee you will 'see' a ghost or experience a paranormal event. However, in our personal experience, there have been very few times when some sort of 'activity' has not occurred.
